I bailed on my friends birthday. Long story, but I don’t have any ID, and she wanted to go out clubbing. Another birthday comes and no one notices or cares. No cake, no presents, no nothing. I haven’t had a birthday party since I was 8. That was ten years ago. I like to geocache and we recently went geocaching with some friends who pointed out that I desperately needed an updated GPS. My husband mentioned that I had a birthday coming up and that he would get me a GPS for my birthday. Our friend recommended the type she uses and my husband wrote down the name.

It’s probably really selfish of me to think this, but for once I wish someone would notice me. I send out greeting cards to my friends when it’s their birthday, or when something good happened to them, so I send a congratulations cards, or even just a random ‘I’m thinking of you’ card. I expect people to remember my birthday, although I never remember theirs. I think less of people who have casual sex despite having done it many times myself (and a desire to do it again asap). I hate people who talk loudly on their cellphones, yet know I do it when drunk.

I’m SO MAD because part of the reason I broke up with my ex was because of him inviting his flirty coworker R to his birthday party and having no issue with her giving half the guys at the party a (clothed) lap dance with the awful friend she brought along. I can’t believe that I gave you your gift early, then told you I was planning a wonderful dinner, and you did NOTHING!!!!!!!!!
