- wearing a non-religious piece of ethnic clothing / emulating their style
- learning another language
- ethnic-inspired fashion choices
- celebrating Cinco de Maya, Diwali, Christmas, Eid, if you’re not religious

I have a new housemate whose struggling with his Englilsh skills, and its driving me insane!! I feel bad cause you can tell he’s a very nice guy struggling to fit into a culture completely foreign to him (a Middle Easvern man in Australia), and he’s studying English. I am a soldier, a decorated combat veteran. Pop culture tells us combat is supposed to be “emotionally difficult” at best, “psychologically crippling” at worst.
