Black Lives Matter. Then all lives matter. But let’s be honest, no one but the black and white people matter. I’m just saying it like it is. And the fact that no one, NO ONE, at all will admit this bothers me so much, because, why do only black and white people matter? This is America, yes it is my home, but it is not my home at all. White people claim that white privilege doesn’t exist, black people claim that their culture has been taken… but hasn’t everyone else’s culture been taken? We’re so stuck in the past, living in the past, we’re all stuck and the sad thing is we will all die in the past. The media is a war of black and white, literally. And I get it, lives are being wasted because of ignorance, but I’m so sick and tired of this black on white and white on black crime. This is AMERICA. There are so many cultures and races and ethnicities infused into one great piece of land but yet NO ONE can appreciate it. Why don’t we all just admit that we’re all jealous of one another and that we all have too much pride to admit it? Don’t even lie to yourself anymore. Yes, you can appreciate who you are and where you came from, but a part of you will always be jealous of someone else, no matter what.
All of us, we as a country, LOVE the spotlight. The minute we get a bit of fame, everyone rushes towards the light, trying to get their 60 seconds of fame and honestly it makes me sick, but yes I have fallen into this trap myself. Everyone wants the fame, but no one wants the consequences that come with it.
I guess what I’m trying to say is that I’m tired of growing up in a world where only black lives matter. I’m tired of growing up in a world where white privilege exists. I want to grow in a world where someone else gets the spotlight. I want to learn about the thousands of other people and their past. I want to learn their history and their struggle, because we’ve all been through a struggle. If we all realize that EVERYONE has their own struggle, then maybe, just MAYBE, all lives will matter. Don’t say that black people have it worse because they DON’T. It only feels that way because the MEDIA knows how to manipulate us. Black people are a minority, but they can also become the majority compared to the other races. Just because you only hear about the white on black crimes doesn’t mean other hate crimes don’t exist. Do a little research and you’d be surprised to see how much everyone struggles, how many lives have been lost, just how much people give up for the country. I probably don’t make any sense but I’m sick and tired of being sick and tired. Black lives matter, white lives matter, Hispanic lives matter, Asian lives matter, Native American lives matter, ALL LIVES MATTER.
