Seriously, grow up

Tipping is supposed to be optional. You do recieve a paycheque don’t you? Also, the gratuity was originally supposed to be only if the customer felt that the waiter / whatever, had done a sufficently good job to merit it. So if you’re not getting good tips, maybe they reflect your work or your attitude.

I personally tip about 20%, but only if i feel that the person has earned it. Surly waitresses, impolite valets, stuck up barristas and the like get nothing from me and should content themselves with their pay. In fact there are places I don’t go anymore because of poor service I recieved. On the other hand I once offered a scholarship to a store attendant because he went out of his way to help me pick out a new TV for my grandfather. He impressed me with his dedication and last year he graduated with honours in applied physics.
