I just don’t get why this family is so full of people who, at every turn, feel it their DUTY to issue orders to others, yet want to light up like touch paper if the merest request is made of them, and put on the martyr act as well, talking about being ‘given orders’. If being ‘given orders’ is so awful, why then give orders to others? Surely no one should be giving orders and everyone should just do as they please. Why complicate things unnecessarily?

You want someone called to the table for a birthday celebration? By all means, go ahead and call them. There is NO NEED for a pouty ’strike’ because you ask someone to go and call them, and the person shouts for them and you decide that that’s not good enough, the person has to physically get up from the table JUST LIKE YOU COULD DO and go and drag them out if need be. No need. It’s petulant. It’s pathetic.

You want birthday candles? Fine. GET THEM. That way, you get EXACTLY the ones you’re after, and there’s no question of the ‘wrong ones’ being brought by someone who doesn’t even live here and is rummaging through cupboards following your directions.

You want someone to view the work you’ve put into a website? Sure. But DON’T insist that they must come NOW, because look buddy, you’ve NO CLUE about what they were in the middle of doing when you insisted like a 3 year old with a shitty butt on the potty that it’s URGENT that they come now. Don’t pout either when they tell you they’ll be there in a minute; your needs are no more urgent or important than anyone else’s. Sit your ass down and wait.

Honestly….. The older you guys get, the more I find myself ‘going to bed early’ or spending time on the internet to avoid you all…..
