Today at work, it MOSTLY went well. Really I can’t complain a whole lot. I work in a cleaning company, so we are always on a time crunch trying to get out as soon as possible so that the clients don’t have to pay too much. I started this job a month or so ago and so I am just now getting use to it. I am also trying to get to where I do things as well as my 2 coworkers who have been there for a while and are quick and efficient. The reason being, is one coworker who I frequently work with is soso sweet, but can be a MAJOR pain to work with. Why? Because she is constantly constantly telling me something that I either forgot or need to work on or that I need to do HER way. At first it was good because I was learning a lot, but now it just feels like her way of putting me down; treating me like a child! Sometimes I just want to say how I feel, but then I’d be unemployed, so…. But seriously! And every time, it’s not just “Don’t forget to bring extra mop heads” It’s “You can’t forget the extra mop heads because you don’t want the gym dirt on the apartment model and…blahblahblah” EVERYTHING IS A LECTURE WITH THIS GIRL! AND WE’RE THE SAME AGE! She is analystic and OCD; I am more big picture, don’t sweat it, do what NEEDS to be done. You know efficient! Like not spending 15 min cleaning a DOOR! And she does this thing where she asks me if I’ve done something and when I say yes, she says “Are you sure?” I friggen HATE this! Like I DO NOT LIE! It’s just how I am, and ESPECIALLY at work, I am never dishonest. I feel like my mom is asking me, did you clean your room? (she already knew I didn’t, but she gives me the chance to be honest) If she does this one more time, were going to have a legit serious talk. Why can’t she just say I missed a friggin spot!? I am not going to be treated like a child, and just because I’m not ANAL like her doesn’t mean I’m not a good worker worthy of TRUST and RESPECT! Since when did being new give people the right to act so disrespectfully?!
