So today I cleaned a house that had been “renovated”. I use quotations because they didn’t know AT ALL what they were doing. I had to SCRAPE paint off of counters and light switches. I had to scrub up grout from the kitchen sink! The kitchen sink! What people use to clean food!!! There was so much DIRT, like legit DIRT in the bathroom! Wth?! And then they left boards with nails in them. I asked “are you taking these with you?” “No just work around them, we’re putting them back in the walls later”, they said. These lazy jerks even tiled the kitchen so that YOU CAN’T OPEN THE BACK DOOR! The tiling was not level and it didn’t meet the walls. And in the bathroom, it didn’t meet the tub, so they cracked up a tile and just grouted that in! It looks SO BAD. They also scratched the BRAND NEW wooden flooring that they put in. Not to mention a week ago, the imbecile turns on the water for us (at a different house we are cleaning) and HE DOESN”T BOTHER TO TURN OFF THE FAUCET FOR THE WASHING MACHINE! Water spewed EVERYWHERE and all he says is, “Oh. Sorry. If I had towels, I’d help. Have a nice day”. All this to say, these geniuses have the mentality of “There are cleaning people coming, so we can trash it if we want! Just finish as quick as possible”
So I and another person are cleaning this hell hole and it is taking us FOREVER. I mean with reason, but our boss, while understanding, wants us to go faster. Long story short, we miss ONE STUPID THING! Granted, I hate missing anything, but this pretentious property owner has the gall to text my boss and complain after HER WORKERS couldn’t properly tile so that a door could open?!! I had to clean up after these bozos and she is complaining about ANYTHING?! I hate working for jerks, and I KNOW the maintenance guy has to be her son which means he’ll get away with anything… I mean, I know zero about renovation and I KNOW they did a HORRIBLE job. I just wish there was a “Say-What-You’ve-Wanted-to-but-Not-Been-Able-to Day”….
