I guess that since I didn’t spring from the genitals of one of the many people who work here, I don’t matter like some of your family members do. If I was working at a small business, I wouldn’t really complain. After all, you know what you’re getting into with that crap. But no. This is a major multi-million dollar hospital and guess what? You and your family are actually breaking hospital rules by hiring everyone that shares your genetic material. You’re not the only one who does this- I’ve seen it done in other areas as well.

I actually wouldn’t mind so much except that I’ve seen you give preferential treatment to your cousin. Yes, I know she’s your cousin. Most of us do. You’ve done a piss poor job of hiding that you’ve hired your wife’s cousin, just as she’s done a piss poor job of hiding that her mother works in the hospital’s hiring section and that she has other family members elsewhere in the hospital. It’s just really hard to take anything you say seriously about job performances and callouts when I see you turning a blind eye to any mistakes your cousin makes as well as allowing her to call out whenever she feels like it. It’s especially disheartening when I see that you’ve allowed her to take several major holidays off while you’ve made everyone else work in order to cover up the hole she left in the schedule.

I just want to let you know that I’ve been writing everything down. Eventually I’m going to report you and your cousin to HR, but I want to get enough evidence first to show that this has been going on for a good long while. I’m not stupid enough to attach my name to it, so it’ll be sent out anonymously. Just to make sure that you or any of your other family members don’t stop it before it goes anywhere, I’ll also be sending a copy to several of the administrators in the hospital as well as to the local news. It’s been really slow as far as local news goes, so I’m sure that they’d love to expose that about a good 30-40% of our hospital staff is related to each other in one form or another, especially in upper management. It’s the type of thing that makes for months and months of good tabloid-esque fodder.
