For years you lived in my house, ate my food, slept in my beds, and we helped take care of your kid. All while you went to school.

Then when I said that I had problems going to school because of finances, you said “if I can do it, you can”. Funny, but you forget that you get thousands upon thousands of dollars of Federal aid because you squirted out a kid. So much financial aid that you actually went and took a trip to Vegas on what was left over, rather than paying your babysitter (the one who wasn’t us) what you owed her. (I thought that was really classy, BTW.)

Now you hit a brief rough patch because you flunked a class and you’re procrastinating in actually finishing class. Partially because you feel that your current job pays “well”. You don’t live with us anymore (BTW, thanks for helping us out. The times that we didn’t think we’d be able to pay the electric bill seem really inconsequential when we realize that you’re whining about not being able to pawn your kid off at camp or go on as big of a vacation as you wanted to.)

So what’s the point of my rant? The point is that I have a sister who only thinks of herself and the way the government rations out financial aid is woefully broken. They’re so busy paying for your vacations, your kid’s summer camp, and whatever latest gadget you have (rather than your bills or babysitter) that there’s nothing left for the rest of us that y’know, weren’t stupid enough to squirt out a brat and also work our asses off. I’ve done my research and discovered that if I wanted to quit my job and live off of other people (much like you did) and have an illegitimate kid (also like you did), I’d have so much financial aid that I wouldn’t know what to do with it all.

So if anyone reading this is in my shoes, just know that the government has once again shown us that working hard and making wise decisions doesn’t pay. And sisters have shown that blood is only thicker than water when that sister needs something.
