Okay here’s the thing. For about 2 minutes the media promoted thigh gaps. But then, since everyone is either too narrow-hipped (nothing wrong with that) or too fat, suddenly the media is saying they are unhealthy. Well I’m sorry lovelies but you’d better be consistent. Browsing the internet, I saw an article about declaring “war” on thigh gaps. Out of sheer curiosity, I clicked the link. Now there is some idiot ranting about how stupid it is for women to have thigh gaps, claiming it is unhealthy. WELL I’M SORRY HONEY but I have a proper thigh gap and I’m healthy weight. You’re saying that you’re promoting “healthy body image” but you’re leaving us healthy weight girls feeling terrible about how we look. Another funny thing I had to point out was that the suggested article was an article about how to lose weight. I think this article is for overweight women to feel good about themselves. Okay here’s the truth about my body. I’m happy with my body. I have a proper thigh gap and my hips are pretty wide, my butt is pretty muscular and my breasts are about average. I guess you could say I’m big boned and skinny. Funny how this used to be a term overweight people used to justify their obesity. But I’m being 100% honest. I don’t understand how people can say that there’s something WRONG with me because I’m skinny. I eat well and exercise. And honestly, I’m just like any other human. Just because I’m skinny doesn’t mean it doesn’t HURT when you tell me I’m disgustingly unhealthy because you think I’m TOO skinny. Honestly. Thinking you’re too skinny when you’re not is just as bad as thinking you’re too fat when you’re not. Because to me, there isn’t a single part of my body that I think is too small, or too big. I like being a B cup, even though everyone I know is obsessing over wanting huge breasts. I have a healthy body image and all of you stupid MF’s aren’t going to bring me down, even if it does hurt me… for a bit.
I’m just going to ignore those stupid MF’s who say that it’s unhealthy to be skinny. Most of them are probably just really fat. They probably get no exercise, they just sit at their computers trying to bring us down, while they’re chowing down on a box of doughnuts. They’re probably just unhappy about their own bodies, so they tell us that they’re the healthy ones and that we are unhealthy and disgusting.
Now if you don’t have a thigh gap, don’t feel bad about yourself, unless you’re overweight. Some people skinnier than me don’t have thigh gaps. Think about your bone structure. Think about how wide your crotch is. Okay that sounds gross. But honestly. I’d say the perfect legs could have the widest gap at the crotch area, tapering off gently to the knees when you put them together. Mine aren’t quite at that point but I’m happy with my body. And that’s the most important part.
