maybe you dont get a tip or a cheap one because you suck at your job, i have been served by some of the worst out there and i make sure they know it, i expect a smile at least and a thank you, and stay the hell away until i’m done eating, i have had some great people serve me also and i tip very well, service is not what it used to be, anywhere

I agree that if you work in an industry where you have to provide customer service then your not allowed to have a bad day at work, or if you do, you cant show it. I used to work at a big electronics retailer and i HATED customers, but the trick is to not show it and dont take it out on the next one. You have to have thick skin and understand that people suck.Posted by relies on tips 19th August 2011
I’m very good at my job, and constantly have a smile on my face. I am a massage therapist and I am growing tired of the dwindling tips. I am not the only one either. If I bust my ass on you for an hour and you tell me how happy you are, then hand me a five dollar bill. I have had terrible service before, but they are going to know it; by speaking to the manager. Perhaps they are having a bad day. give them the benefit of the doubt. If they are pissing you off, try talking to them, you may get surprised. I wish that people in the service industry WERE paid more so tipping wasn’t even thought of. They deserve it!Post a confession or rant now! It’s completely anonymous.

they didn’t ask you to visit their restaurant in the first place, if you don’t like their service then stay away and don’t be coming back all the time, telling someone they suck at their job is your very own opinion to kept to yourself, maybe they don’t smile and say thank you because they’ve got burned by people like you, maybe they don’t stay the heck away from you because they’ve got burned by and reprimanded from people who didn’t want them to stay the heck away–how are they supposed to know who wants them to stay the heck away and who doesn’t–ask “hello I’m Sally, I’ll be your server tonight, do you want me to stay the heck away after I give you your food?”, service isn’t that great anymore because they don’t like to get yelled at constantly by impossible-to-please diners who have overinflated and unnatural views of servers
